OK here’s the deal, there has been a lot of hype about the new Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B Active Noise-Cancelling Closed-Back Headphone series. The Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B model is simply the newest version of the, now classic, Audio Technica ATH-ANC7 series.

The new Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B Active Noise-Cancelling Closed-Back Headphones have some big shoes to fill! Their predecessor the Audio Technica ATH-ANC7 model basically set the standard for noise canceling headphones. So my bass playing pal, HuggyBear, decided to take these new models out for a spin on his latest trip to Japan to play bass for some new bands going on tour there.
[NOTE: the Audio Technica ATH-ANC7 series were the first major successful noise canceling headphone model, and today, they are still among the most popular noise canceling headphones ever sold!]
There’s nothing like a 13 hour plane flight to test out noise-canceling headphones! After a long flight to do some studio recording, my bass-playing friend, HuggyBear, said that he was totally impressed with the ATH-ANC7B headphones and that he was no longer envious of my Sennheiser PXC 450 Travel Headphones.
He said he particularly enjoyed the generously cushioned earpads because after a few hours of listening, most headphones aren’t comfortable enough to continue using. But not so with the ATH-ANC7B headphones. He was able to listen for several hours at a time and did not find his ears feeling even the slightest bit of discomfort.
He also commented on the noise-cancelling capabilities, which he said reduced almost all the ambient background noise in the airplane. So he could enjoy peace and quiet, or plugin his ipod and listen to his lastest mixes as he prepared for studio recording later in the week.
There are three categories of headphones: consumer grade (think cheap prices, marginal quality, throw-away headphones), professional grade (think about music & recording professionals) and then there is the middle of the road, Prosumer grade (professional & consumer combined).
The Audio Technica ATH ANC7B headphones are prosumer grade headphones. These are not cheap, throwaway headphones, yet they aren’t so expensive that you don’t mind throwing them into your travel bag to take with you on trips. They offer sound quality that the most elite audiophiles would be impressed with. Yet the price is reasonable enough that anyone who is serious about the quality of their music, should consider owning a pair.
Advanced noise-cancelling circuitry reduces background noise by up to 90%! This means you can enjoy your music with crystal clear sound as though you were in a quiet room – even if you’re on a noisy commuter train! Or you can simply enjoy listening to the sounds of silence in the midst of a cacaphony of noise.
Audio Technica is a world leader in audio technology with specific accolades for their amazing headphone quality. This means you can rest assured that you are getting a high quality audio tool to add to your hifi collection. You are not getting a cheap set of headphones which will be thrown away in a year. You’re getting a set of headphones to last you for years, with quality designed to provide comfort and musical clarity for a decade or longer.
The lightweight compact, foldable design and convenient carrying case means you can easily travel anywhere with these headphones. They fold up for convenient carrying and they are lightweight enough to wear on your head for hours upon hours of listening. Also included is a special airline adapter so you can easily connect directly into the airlines in-flight entertainment system (no need to ‘rent’ adaptors from the airlines!). And the closed-back design ensures that outside ambient noises are not going to interfere with your music (no sound leakage!) – even with the noise-canceling circuitry turned off in passive mode!
Hifi audio quality is one of the primary goals for Audio Technica. The Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B QuietPoint headphones deliver amazing sonic reproduction from earth rumbling lows as low as 10 Hertz, to crystal clear highs as high as 25,000 Hertz. This frequency response range is slightly lower and higher than most people can hear – which means you will NEVER miss details in your music again.
Hear The Music Details You’ve Been Missing! The ATH-ANC7B has an immersive soundfield and delivers accurate imaging via its 40mm neodium drivers. What this means for you is this: You will hear every little sonic detail of your music! It’s like rediscovering your favorite old songs as though they were brand new!
You will have everything you need to start enjoying your music as soon as you get your box! You get the ATH-ANC7B noise-cancelling headphones of course. But also a 1/4-inch adapter and a specialized in-flight entertainment system adapter. Convient carrying case and attached accessory pouch, and a AAA battery (to power the active noise-cancelling circuitry).
Amazing sound quality and active noise-cancellation technology designed for the frequent flyer or traveler. Everything you could possibly want to make your long trips more enjoyable and arrive refreshed instead of drained. You get what you pay for, and in this case you get a great value for your money because Audio Technica loves to over-deliver.

When customers give their honest feedback, you should listen – especially if they give unsolicited feedback with no hope of being paid for their efforts. My bass-player pal, HuggyBear, has tried just about every pair of noise canceling headphone models available, as well as a boatload of non-noise canceling models. One thing he says it that it’s hard to beat the big players in the game: Sennheiser, Bose, Audio Technica, JVC, and also Philips (because he loves their Philips SHN9500 model).
From Audio Technica, one of their biggest players is the Audio-Technica ATHANC7 Noise-cancelling Headphones. And the glowing customer reviews prove that they designers and engineers at Audio Technica have figured out how to keep the customer satisfied!

When you’re ready to buy, make sure you go online first. You can usually find a better deal online and save gas and time buy purchasing from a trusted online retailer, such as Amazon. Make sure you buy from a retailer that you trust and which has a history of excellent customer service.
Amazon is who we recommend for their amazingly competitive prices, honest customer feedback and reviews, free shipping options and world class customer service. Don’t be fooled by other retailers who trick you with lower prices, but then stick it to you with higher priced shipping fees and lousy customer service. Amazon is the world’s top trusted online retailer for a reason!
Because I’m a studio musician and self-professed gadget geek I am always on the lookout for new gadgets to include in my toolbox. My friends are the same way. We are always looking for excuses to buy new gear and recently my pal, HuggyBear (that’s his hip hop call sign – bass players can get really weird sometimes!), told me about his latest gear purchase, Audio Technica ATH-ANC27 Noise-Canceling Headphones.
Well I have to say I was impressed with what I heard and for the price I was even more impressed! I paid almost that much for my studio headphones that do not offer noise canceling headphone technology. Needless to say I was happy for him, but a bit ticked off that I spent a lot more and got a lot less bang for my buck. HuggyBear laughed as he laid down a new bass groove while monitoring his music on his new Audio Technica ATH-ANC27 Noise-Canceling Headphones.
So, I went to the internet to scour for reviews of these amazing Audio Technica ATH-ANC27 Noise-Canceling Headphones and here is what I found out. Great price, over-the-ear noise canceling headphones with amazing sound quality throughout the entire frequency range. Yes, these are a good deal. And they are still relatively new, so not every body is going to have one of these (if you are into that kind of thing).
